YIAMAS Greek Tavernaki in Mosta is Malta's first authentic Greek meze and street food restaurant, established in September 2021. Founded by Dimitris and Katja, the restaurant is built on a philosophy that food is a way of life and a reason to gather with family and friends. The kitchen prepares fresh food daily using specialty ingredients imported directly from Greece, following traditional recipes passed down through generations. The menu features a wide array of authentic Greek dishes, including street food favorites like gyro and souvlaki wrapped in warm pita bread. Popular meze items include saganaki feta with sesame and honey, dolmadakia, and freshly prepared dips like tzatziki. Diners can also enjoy generous meat platters featuring chicken, pork, and traditional village sausages, often accompanied by fresh-cut fries. Excellent food for a resonable price. We ordered gyros and some meze and I had to stop myself from overeating. Great service as well, with everyone being friendly and making sure you have all you need. A must visit for anyone liking greek and/or good food in general.

We totally loved our evening! The food was great and very flavorful, and the servers were extremely helpful and made our evening special. We told them that two of our friends were celebrating their birthday, and they brought us a complimentary slice of cake each with a birthday candle while singing “Happy Birthday.” They truly made our evening special and we felt very welcome. We will definitely come again for sure. Opa!

The food was very tasty (we ate right away and forgot to take photos before we eat!) the tzatziki dip was a favorite to the whole family. The souvlakis was very well seasoned (the chicken and the pork in particular was very tender and tasty). Service was quick, staffs were polite and helpful. Recommend!
