Il Pirata St Julians

Great to see Pirata reopen after the building was reconstructed. The interior is beautiful and creates a lovely atmosphere. The Italian-inspired cuisine has a real focus on quality ingredients. The pizza was crispy with a beautifully bubbly crust. The crudi were particularly tasty, the croquettes were delicious, and the fried aubergines were excellent. Great food, great quality, and definitely worth a visit!

Great Atmosphere, Amazing service from the staff, the Food was delicious, and on top of all that they gave us complimentary focaccia and a small dessert! We were a group of seven and I personally shared a Beef Tagliata with two other of my friends, which was very decently priced and good in taste. The portion is just right when split between three, about 330g each. The others had pizzas and also liked what they ate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and am myself going to visit it again.

After seeing multiple good reviews, finally decided to give it a try, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! We were a table of six and although there were several other big tables, the service was efficient and the waiters attended to our requests with a smile. The food was cooked to perfection - we ordered calamari and octopus for starters, then for the main course we had their famous beef tagliata (1kg to share), and ended the night with a sweet taste of their freshly prepared imqaret and mini doughnuts. They also offered us complimentary tartlets and liquor on the house. Very satisfied, will definitely return!
