About Country Terrace

Country Terrace is a charming little cottage that has been transformed into a restaurant with an indescribable panoramic view and extraordinary cuisine.

The restaurant has become the only place in Gozo that offers such a magnificent view of the Mgarr Harbor, Fort Chambrey and the three sister islands, Kemmuna, Kemmunett and Malta.

Choose al-fresco dining outside on the terrace or the elegant yet relaxing atmosphere inside. No matter which setting you go for, it will be impossible to let yourself distract from the mouth-watering dish in front of you!

Browse through their exquisite selection of Mediterranean cuisine, specialities include fresh fish, lamb and game, open daily for lunch and dinner.

Complement your meal with an impeccable bottle of wine. The vast wine cellar includes a wide range of local wines, offering a staggering 284 foreign wines, including New World wines.

I didn't give a 5 star for the food just for a couple of things... That a restaurant like that should make sure of. We have ordered oysters and they weren't shacked and the duck from a medium came out as a well done. Other then that the place is beautiful, the flavours were there. Service some were super helpful and wear the right smile.

The chicken roulade should state on the menu that it is wrap with SMOKED PANCETTA and it was dry. One of our party cannot have smoked food. Joe, the manager, did sort it out, and we are grateful for that Otherwise everything was lovely and it is recommended. We shall be coming back, thank you

Waiters kept coming to our table with other orders and when finally our order arrived one was missing…after seceral attempts asking for it a waiter actually came up to us saying they told me that they gave it to you!! When eventually it arrived it was a speciality of the day a steak cooked almost well done when we asked medium for rare and inedible:( we weren’t even asked why it wasn’t eaten… the head waiter gave us a silly expanation about being understaffed as 3 called in sick and had inexperienced waiterss …finally the cherry on the cake he offered us a drink on the house and the same one whose steak arrived late ended up without a drink!

Desert was too much expensive....€7.95 for a small desert. I could have eaten a pizza or pasta with the same price somewhere else. Apart from the waiting time. We paid €55 for pasta main course....salmon, 1 aperitif, still water and dessert....expensive!!!!
