I would have given 6 out of 5 stars. The food is amazing, the service is excellent and the Owner welcoming us at the entrance is surreal. First time in Malta. This is the place where we’d come back each time. Thank You Boa, best time EVER!!

My partner and I had a fantastic meal and experience at Boa. The owner was a charming man who made our evening as well as the other attentive staff. We started with bread and olives, followed by 6 oysters and then surf and turf lobster and steak/lobster and burger combos both served with chips. We took advantage of the happy hour, drinking Moscow mules. The food was fantastic, oysters were really fresh served with lemon and Tabasco (optional). The lobster and steak was exceptional as was the burger, which I got to enjoy some of as my partner couldn't finish. Chips were crispy and salty. The owner had great craic, was chatting to us about his family from England, brought the lobster to our table before it was cooked and gave us some shots on the house. The views over the marina are brilliant and the music which was playing set a nice background tone for the meal. Overall, amazing food but the dining experience itself was so much better due to the attentiveness and humour of the staff.

On a rainy & windy Sunday afternoon we sat outside under the cover, with gas heaters, but they left 2 of the panels up, which was fine until the wind picked up. We ordered a Ribeye and lobster to share, we wanted Medium Rare, but the waiter talked us into ordering it Rare, which we did, and it’s what we got. It’s like he didn’t understand Medium Rare. We never got the water that we ordered (we weren’t charged for it). The Calamari appetizer was delicious! The glasses of wine were below average. We think that this is an overpriced restaurant!
