I walked into the restaurant, and the waiter bluntly asked whether I had a reservation and if I was alone. I told him I was alone, and he turned to his colleagues and asked something. After that, he turned back to me and pointed to a table in the corner where I could sit. I got the feeling that I wasn’t particularly welcome. The restaurant itself is cozy, both in terms of decor and atmosphere. They’ve created a pleasant Mediterranean vibe through the music and overall ambiance. The waiter then came to take my order, and at this point the service was a bit more positive. To start, bread and a tzatziki-style dip were brought to the table. The waiter mentioned that it was on the house. Both were very tasty. For my main course, I ordered the Cokertme kebab. The dish included grilled meat, shoestring fries advertised as crispy, and a yogurt sauce. The yogurt sauce tasted good, but there was far too much of it—so much that it overpowered everything else. The meat was okay in flavor, although some pieces were slightly tough and sinewy. The crispy fries had been placed at the bottom of the dish, so they were no longer crispy—apart from a few that had ended up on the side. Most of the fries had become soggy in the yogurt sauce. I would say the restaurant has potential, but perhaps today wasn’t the waiter’s best day, and my menu choice wasn’t ideal. The food was still decent overall, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant.

Thank you so much for everything. The food, desserts, and drinks were absolutely amazing. The service was excellent and very professional, we felt really well taken care of. We would also like to thank Fehmi in particular—he was extremely kind, attentive, and friendly. My friends were very happy as well and said they would love to come back again. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful evening. We will definitely visit again!

Agora was the best Turkish restaurant for meze that we’ve visited outside of Turkey—the mezes were as good as you’d find in nice restaurants there. The service was very attentive. The only downside was that it got quite loud inside as the music played and patrons became a bit tipsy later on.
